Welcome on my web page. This pages contains  contact, cv, publication list and a list of conferences, schools and workshops in which I have been involved. In these two list links are provided toward preprints, reprints, video lectures and lecture slides. Then I have included a list of my former students with (whenever this was available to me) supplementary informations: present position and contacts. Following an idea borrowed from the web page of Dave Levermore I have added my mathematical lineage. It goes back to Weigel who was the advisor of Leibniz. A more detail section is devoted to my researches activities. I tried to make it partly accessible to non mathematicians and at least to mathematicians working in different areas.
References to Euler equations and macroscopic distributed phenomena ( wind and clouds for instance)  suggest for my scientific community the title of children of Euler and Eole. The amount of experiences that I have gathered over the years in a fast evolving society does not seems to me enough  for a book of memory (anyway I would not be able to do it). On the other hand I have enough material for a small section called itinerary.
Eventually the page is illustrated with a photo album. Besides advertising my field of scientific activities the web  page give me the opportunity express friendship and also unfortunately in some cases rembrance to those who I have met and who provided me with support and friendship.

This web page cannot be without blunders.  First of all I beg indulgence for fact which may have been omitted or forgotten. Remarks and comments mailed to claude.bardos@gmail.com will be taken care of as soon as possible.
